The Athletics Division at Prince Sultan University
was founded on Oct. 28th 2007. It is part of the
Department of Physical Education, Health &
Recreation, and has the purpose of establishing and
maintaining collegiate sport teams in an attempt to
compete on the highest level.
Vision
The Athletics Department of Prince Sultan University
sets out to provide an environment that allows its
athletics teams to perform at the very top of the
highest available level of any discipline, at any
given time. It aims to increase the popularity of
its teams and of Prince Sultan University within its
community through outstanding athletic achievements
and exemplary display of professionalism and
sportsmanship throughout all levels of society. It
has the goal of financing itself, and the Department
of Physical Education, Health & Recreation, by
dedicating itself to generating revenue through the
organization of popular events and successful
corporate sponsorship.
Mission
The mission of the Athletics Department is to
supply the student-athlete with quality athletic
development, with exciting, high level competition,
and with the opportunity to expand physically and
intellectually as a member of today’s society. It
sets out to supply excellence in the organization of
sporting events for the student-body and the
community at large through the application of
professional event management, and it aims to
enhance the position of Prince Sultan University in
the local, academic, and business community through
constant net-working with these entities, through
frequent exposure via media, and through the
implementation of sponsorship and advertisement.
