Public Relations and Media Center (PRMC)
Public Relations and Media Center is responsible for ensuring that the College's internal and external communications support PSU’s mission, image and strategic plan. The Supervisor of PRMC will serve as the College's chief spokesperson to the media, supervise all units under the PRMC serves as communications advisor to campus leadership, stay updated on current issues and news that impact PSU, identifies potential news and feature stories and sources on campus, maintains contact with, and disseminates information to, media outlets, oversees emergency communications messaging, oversees campus publications, photography, video recordings, campus mail, all PR efforts, and unit budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.1 Plans, organizes, directs and administers all Public Relations and Media Center and programs in line with institutional vision, mission, and values of PSU;
1.2 Collaborates with all Department Chairs, Directors, and the Public Relations Committee to enhance the image of PSU;
1.3 Establishes short to long range strategic plan, goals, objectives and measures of accomplishments of the Public Relations and Media Center based on recognized standards;
1.4 Conducts study and plans to effectively fill present and future marketing/public relations gaps;
1.5 Organizes Public Relations and Media Center Services presentations at the end of each session.
