PSU participate in the Al-Ghad Forum 2009
Dr Yamani: Prince Salman's program, E4E:
Education for Employment, comes from his kind
attention to our youth to direct their interests to
their homeland

Prince Sultan University participated in the
Al-Ghad Forum 2009, organized by Neyara
Celebrations and Conferences Company, under the
theme: (We and the youth are partners), under the
patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz,
during the period from 18-20/4/2009. The forum aimed
to strengthen the role of youth as a partner in the
vision and the responsibilities by developing their
potential and build their capacities to contribute
with an active role in achieving the goals of
comprehensive development.
PSU participated in the working papers of the Forum
from both boys and girls sections. The first paper
was introduced by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Saleh
Al-Yamani, PSU's Rector. In his paper he declared
the University's programs for young people to build
their skills and knowledge like, the program for
talented high school students, the students'
personality building program within the corridors of
the University and Prince Salman's program E4E:
education for employment for graduates of Saudi
universities and colleges.
Dr. Yamani added that Prince Salman's E4E program
was designed for the Saudi young men and women
graduates of universities and colleges who have
bachelor in science and who are facing difficulties
in obtaining employment due to lack of skills and
knowledge needed to meet the needs of the labor
market. E4E program will help providing job
opportunities to them through raising their level of
professionalism.
He pointed out that Prince Salman's E4E program
provided by PSU in collaboration with the Human
Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and Cisco company
in the area of the world's leading networks, comes
from HRH interest in rehabilitation and employment
of youth, and for HRH sense of what an active role
they can do in the development of our society. Dr.
Yamani said that PSU, in the same context, provide a
further program of maternity and childhood in
cooperation with American Simmons College of girls
and in coordination with the King Faisal Specialist
Hospital, for female graduates under the aim of
rehabilitation of them to become clinical
specialists.
Engineer Ibrahim Al-Ghemlas, Director of the
community service and continuing education center,
head of the Talent Program of PSU, said that the
program included 100 male and 50 female students,
last summer, pointing out that the main objective of
the program was to assist talented students to
identify their mental capacity and to identify their
areas of talent.
It is also worth noting in this regard that the King
Abdul Aziz and His Men Establishment for talent and
creativity found; through the outstanding success
achieved by PSU last year in the Talent Program;
that PSU should host the Talent Program in the next
summer this year also. One hundred and fifty
students from public secondary schools will
contribute in seven hubs instead of four.
Finally, the forum was concluded successfully
achieving its goals to leave active initiatives for
youth empowerment and capacity-building to invest
their energies in order to support further
development.
