HRH Princess Nouf bint Sultan bin Abdul Aziz has offered a bountiful donation, the sum of one million Saudi Riyals, to Prince Sultan University. The money will be given to the Electronic University, which is soon to be finished.

HH Prince Dr. Abdulaziz Ibn Mohammad Ibn Ayaf Al-Migrin received the cheque recently from Dr. Majed Al- Qasbey, Director General of Prince Sultan Philanthropic Society, on behalf of Princess Nouf bint Sultan. Dr. Ayaf expressed his gratitude for this very generous gesture from HRH Princess Nouf bint Sultan.

Dr. Ayaf stated “I am very pleased to express my true appreciation and gratitude, on behalf of the Prince Sultan University staff, to HRH Princess Nouf bin Sultan Al-Saud for her generous donation and continuous support to the university.” She has been a generous contributor to the university since its inception.

Prince Dr. Ayaf alluded to the fact that the university was honored by the gracious visit of Princess Nouf last year and her sponsoring of the first graduation ceremony from the Women’s University, which is also a significant sign of the great care and support she offers to the university. He added that the present donation of one million riyals offered by the Princess to the university is a major step in developing an eUniversity. A contract was signed last year with the Technical Company for Technology Indignization, a nationally prominent company in the provision of solutions for the educational sector, to collaborate with the university in continuing to develop an eUniversity. This donation represents a continuing effort from Her Highness to support the electronic system that the university is applying now.

Prince Dr. Ayaf said that the implementation of the new system will better serve all university departments and improve the administrations’ ability to handle activities, such as: admissions and registration, as well as financial and administrative procedures, electronically. These steps are in harmony with recent efforts of the government towards the establishment of electronic government and the increased use of technology in all sectors. It is worth mentioning that it has already been directed by HRH Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Riyadh Governor and the Chairman of Riyadh Philanthropic Society to adopt the most up-to-date approaches that fit with Prince Sultan University, as a modern university.
