JOB DESCRIPTION

The Language and Communication Research Lab (LCRL) at Prince Sultan University is recruiting full-time post-doctoral researchers to contribute to the research output and activities of the lab.

LCRL is committed to quality research output in highly ranked publication venues and the creation of strong links between research and the community it should serve. The Lab conducts research, holds research-related activities, offers training to interested budding researchers and provides research-based consultations. The lab objectives are to (1) conduct and publish high-quality Language and Communication (LC) research, (2) promote LC research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, (3) provide training for budding LC researchers, (4) enhance collaboration among LC researchers nationally, regionally, and internationally, (5) raise awareness among the public of LC findings, (6) offer research-based consultations to relevant institutions and (7) attract grants for the Lab’s projects and sponsorship for its activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· PhD holder in Language Studies, Communication Studies or a related field (Obtained the PhD degree within the last two years)

· Experience with LC research and willingness to contribute to the LCRL output

· Experience with Psycholinguistic online measures (e.g., eye-trackers, experiment builders, etc.) and corpus-based research is highly recommended. 

· Good publication record in Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals

· Good h-index (at least 5 in Scopus) and number of citations (at least 60 in Scopus)

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team

· Be very dynamic and self-motivated

· Excellent writing skills of technical and research papers in English

· Excellent spoken skills in English

· Proved ability to deliver on challenging research tasks
