About Computer Center The PSU Computer Center was established in 1999 and
is one of the independent (non-faculty) university
units. The Center provides computer facilities to all
staff, faculties and students of the University,
together with advice, documentation and anything else
necessary for their effective use. The facilities are
available to all undergraduate students, providing IT
support for personal research and training courses.
The University Computer Center's activities are based
upon various platforms equipment integrated in Local
Networks with laser printer output that provide a wide
range of software and applications, web developing and
designing, database developing, as well as programming
and system support to staff, lecturers and to PSU
departments.
The developing University Campus Network, which has been
fully operational, improves the University communication
infrastructure that links the existing information and
computer resources with national and international
networks. Following Internet services via the University
Network are now available: e-mail, electronic news, file
exchange.
The University Computer Center has special support
staff, whose task is to work closely with their
colleagues from the other departments and faculties to
assist in making the best use of the facilities.

in installations of software, computers,
networks and telecommunications equipment.
To provide leadership and expertise in the
planning and introduction of new information
technology on campus to further the University's
mission in teaching, research and
administration.
