Computer
Science and Information Systems are very important career choices
especially in this day of expanding technologies. Government and private
sectors are in constant search for skilled and qualified females in this
field.
The aim of the CIS Department is to have students acquire broad
knowledge, practical experience and focused skills necessary to succeed
in a dynamic environment. CIS students are provided a unique opportunity
to gain real world practical experience before graduation by
participating in the co-op program The co-op program is a career related
professional program that allows the student to work full time for
approximately 6 months at an accredited organization while being paid.
The CIS Dept.
prides itself in having top class faculty who are both leaders in their
fields and are excellent instructors. Faculty also serve as academic
advisors aiding students in both academic and career decisions. In
addition, the CIS Dept. is equipped with state of the art technology in
both labs and classrooms to create a distinctive learning environment.
