About Research & Development Unit (R&D)
The Research
and Development Unit of PSU-CW was established in October of 2007 as a
representative of
Prince Sulman Research & Translation Center in the college
for women. The main role of the unit is to initiate and follow up
research projects of all types. The follow up process includes
refereeing, publication, development and marketing of research outcomes.
Some
of the activities accomplished by the Unit:

Prepare
a faculty research survey to get feed back from faculty on the
needed resources. The survey was implemented and results were
presented to PSU administrators.

Contacting a number of workshops and seminars on research design and
methodology. In Addition to research presentation seminars by PSU-CW
faculty members according to their discipline.

Organize
the Annual Young Researcher Competition (YRC) for PSU-CW students to
encourage their involvement in research.

Follow
the Standards for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher
Education Programs issued by NCAAA to make sure that the unit
achieves the required level of quality for all of its activities.

Encourage student involvement in research by organizing a poster
preparation seminar and poster exhibition that took place in
February 2008.
