requirements and procedures. We hope that

Admission Criteria and Requirements |
|
1. |
Admission of High School Students |
|
The
applicant who has completed high school and
have not attended college
must
satisfy the following requirements: |
|
|
a. The
applicant should have her high school
certificate or an equivalent certificate
from inside or outside Saudi Arabia. |
|
|
b. The
applicant should have obtained the secondary
school certificate, or its
equivalent, in a period of less than five
years prior to his/her application. However
the University may waive this condition if
the applicant has a persuasive
explanation. |
|
|
c. The
applicant should have a certificate of good
conduct. |
|
|
d. The
applicant should successfully pass the
admission examination. |
|
|
e.
The applicant must be medically fit. |
|
|
f. The
applicant must obtain the approval of her
employer, if she is an employee in
any government or private institution.
|
|
|
g. The
applicant should be a full-time student;
part-time enrolment is not permitted |
|
|
h.
The applicant must satisfy any other
requirements specified by the University
Council at the time of application.
|
|
2. |
Admission of Transfer Students: |
|
The applicant
who has transferable credit from an
accredited post-secondary institution must
satisfy the following requirements: |
|
|
a. The
university or college from which the
applicant is transferred must be
accredited by the Ministry of Higher
Education. |
|
|
b. The applicant must be currently enrolled in the college
or university from which
she is transferred. |
|
|
c. The
applicant must not have been dismissed from
that university for disciplinary
reasons |
|
|
d.
Applicant’s cumulative GPA must be not less
than 2.00 out of 4.0 |
|
|
e.
Courses in which the applicant has earned a
grade lower than C may not be
transferred. |
|
|
f. No
more than 25 percent of the relevant courses
are allowed to be transferred and
to be considered equivalent, in terms of
content, to any of the courses required in
any major at the University. |
|
|
g. The
student must satisfy any other conditions
required by the University Council |
|
The College Council evaluates the
courses that were taken by the student
outside the University, based on the
recommendations of the departments that
offer equivalent courses. The courses
evaluated as equivalent are recorded in the
student’s academic transcript but are not
included in the calculation of his/her
cumulative GPA.

for Admission |

An
applicant should submit the following
documents to the
Admission and Registration Office in the
College for Women: |

The PSU Application Form |
|
2 - |
The original and one certified photocopy of
the general secondary school certificate or
an equivalent certificate from inside or

Official Transcript from the applicant’s
current university. (for Transfer
Students only) |

Official and detailed course description of
the courses taken by the applicant from the
university or college from which the
applicant has transferred. (for Transfer

The original and one certified photocopy of
the good conduct certificate issued by the
school from which the applicant has
graduated. (Or by the university or
college from which the applicant has
transferred for Transfer Students) |

6 - |
One photocopy of the Civil Affairs
identification papers or any identification
documents from the school. |
|
7 - |
The medical report. |
|
8 - |
A written permission from the applicant’s
guardian/parent to study at PSU-CW. |
|
9 - |
An official document from the workplace
granting permission for the applicant to
study at PSU-CW. (Only in cases where the
applicant is in employment). |

10 - |
The SR 500 (non-returnable) registration
fee. |
|
NOTE |
|
|
|
A
falsified document, submitted during the
admission, results in the cancellation of
the admission and registration at PSU.

Admission
Procedures |
|
1 - |
Apply at the Admission and Registration Office. |
|
2 - |
Submit the required documents mentioned in section (B) to the Admission
and Registration Office before specified deadlines. Incomplete or late
submission of documents will result in the cancellation of the applicant’s
admission and registration at PSU |
|
3 - |
Receive
an “Admission Ticket”. An Applicant must present her Admission Ticket in order
to enter the examination. The number assigned in the admission ticket is the
only means of identification throughout the admission process. |
|
4- |
Attend
the admission examination as announced in the Academic Calendar for Admission
and Registration. |
|
5 - |
Follow up your application status through
the University's website. You will receive
an electronic confirmation of acceptance.
|
|
6 - |
Print out your Acceptance Letter. It
is your official proof of acceptance.
|
|
7- |
Present the Acceptance Letter to
issue your ID card, attend the computer and
math promotion exams and register courses.
|
|
8 - |
New students mastering Microsoft Office
Applications are allowed to attend the
computer promotion exams. |
|
9 - |
Attend the mandatory orientation session.
Students
are not allowed to enroll in courses before
attending the orientation session. |
|
10 - |
Pay the
tuition fees and then register for courses. |
|
|
The applicant is fully responsible
for checking her application status and for
keeping the deadlines of events related to
her admission through the University website.
All students should register for
courses through the Admission and
Registration Office or their admission
will be cancelled. |

University is entitled to amend
financial regulations and rules
without prior notification. |

The student who wishes to withdraw
from the University, has to submit a
written withdrawal request to the
Admission and Registration Center
before the beginning of the
semester, in order to avoid any
academic or financial obligations
for that particular semester. |

|
Students fail to report to the
University for registration and the
payment of tuition fees at the
announced time will have their
admission cancelled. |
