Research is the blood that circulates in the veins of universities to keep them alive. Most of the famous international universities made their names through solid research that contributed positively to their societies and the international community at large. Good research not only contributes to knowledge and the welfare of societies, but also improves the teaching process and creates better university environments.

Achieving excellence in research is one of the major goals of Prince Sultan University. PSU is determined to follow the track of top international universities and gradually build a healthy research environment through which university faculty may produce the best they can.

The main policies of the research center are:

• Address real life problems and concentrate on applied research.
• Interact with society and international organizations to identify problems and attract funding for research projects.
• Form strong teams and encourage internal and external collaboration.
