Prince Sultan University, Prince Salman center for Disability Research and the UNESCO signed an important agreement which will enable Prince Sultan University to establish the first Academic Assistance Unit in any University not only in the Kingdom but also in the Gulf area and the Middle East.

This Unit will cater for the needs of students with learning disabilities. PSU’s ambition through this project is also to serve as a hub of experts for the rest of the Kingdom and the Gulf.

PSU’s experience will be used to fuel all types of research projects in the area of academic assistance to students with LDs.

With the establishment of this highly specialized Unit, PSU will be at the forefront of all research and academic practices in the field of learning disabilities. The entire student community will benefit from the establishment of this Unit.

Having a partnership with the UNESCO also fulfils PSU’s objectives in terms of international visibility and credibility.
