Introduction

In the past several years, information technology has had a great impact on teaching and research in mathematical sciences. WEB activities in mathematics courses, LaTeX, electronic distribution and archiving, Java applets, and many other tools and technologies have created opportunities as well as unresolved questions for mathematical pedagogy and research. To take advantage of the opportunities as well as try to answer some of these questions, the Saudi Association for Mathematical Sciences (SAMS) organizes periodical meetings, which enhance interactions among all professionals working in mathematical sciences.

Main Topics of the Meeting

All papers in mathematical sciences and their applications (mathematics, statistics, operation research) are invited, with particular emphasis on the uses of information technology in research and teaching.
