Organizational Structure & TAC Units
The Translation & Authoring Center operates through a structured governance system led by the TAC Council and supported by four specialized units. This structure ensures high-quality translation, authorship, training, and community engagement aligned with PSU’s strategic direction.
TAC Units
Translation & Editing Unit
Responsible for delivering high-quality translation and editorial services to PSU and external partners.
- Translation (Arabic ↔ English)
- Academic, technical, legal, and administrative translation
- Editing, proofreading, and linguistic quality control
- Post-editing of machine translation
- File preparation, terminology consistency, and style alignment
Training & Technology Unit
Provides specialized training for PSU students, cooperative trainees, and the broader community, integrating modern tools and AI solutions.

- Workshops: translation, research writing, digital literacy, AI tools
- Managing TAC’s translation lab and technology resources
- Supporting CAT tools and AI-assisted workflows
Authorship & Publication Unit
Oversees book authoring, book translation, and publication processes — from proposal submission to peer review and final production.
- Managing Book Authoring & Translation Grants
- Coordinating peer review and evaluation
- Following up on publication timelines
- Ensuring compliance with TAC bylaws
- Supporting authors with editing and production needs
External Relations & Partnerships Unit
Builds collaborations that strengthen TAC’s influence locally, regionally, and internationally.
- Coordinating agreements and MOUs
- Managing partnerships with universities and translation associations
- Organizing TAC events and exhibitions
- Managing communication, media coverage, and outreach
- Supporting TAC-led initiatives such as the Regional Translation Competition

- The TAC Council provides governance and strategic direction.

- Committees—such as judging committees, grant evaluation committees, and event committees—are formed as needed by the Council.
