Services for Users with Disability

About the Service

The library is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment that enables all beneficiaries, including people with disabilities, to efficiently access its services, in alignment with Prince Sultan University's mission. The library's facilities have been adapted and access has been facilitated to ensure a comfortable and accessible experience for all users, with special consideration for the needs of users with disabilities.

Services Provided

The library offers a range of support services, including:
  • Access Facilitation: Adapted entrances, elevators, and corridors suitable for wheelchair use.
  • Direct Support: Assisting beneficiaries in searching for and accessing resources, in addition to assistance with printing when needed.
  • Assistive Devices and Technologies: A height-adjustable self-checkout machine, computers equipped with headphones and installed with screen-reading software, and text magnification tools such as (Topaz).
  • Reference Services: Providing guidance and support in using databases and electronic resources.
  • Suitable Study Environment: Providing dedicated, quiet spaces that consider the beneficiaries' needs.

Library users can benefit from the service by:

  • Visiting the library and going to the User Services Desk.
  • Contacting the library team to request assistance.
