POSITION REQUIRED
The Communications and Networks Engineering Department, College of Engineering at Prince Sultan University, is seeking applicants with the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in Electrical Engineering for its upcoming Academic Year 2026/2027, which starts in August 2026.
The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in: Electrical Circuits, Electronics Engineering, Advanced Electronics, Power Electronics, Semiconductor Design, Logic Design, Senior Design Project and/or other subjects related to Electrical Engineering. The courses taught are based on the applicant's expertise and background.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a reputable institution. Those with professional certification and/or professional experience, mainly in teaching and scientific research activity, will be given preference in hiring consideration. Candidates affiliated with internationally well-known Organizations will be at the top for hiring consideration. Commitment to quality in teaching, research, and services is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from a reputable and accredited institution.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a solid research profile, including evidence of scholarly activity such as publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and the potential to develop a sustainable research program.
Experience or interest in areas related to nanoelectronics, microelectronics, VLSI design, or semiconductor devices is highly desirable, particularly in the context of contributing to the development of a Nanoelectronics Center within the department.
Additional qualifications that will be considered a strong advantage include:
● Hands-on experience with electronic design automation (EDA) tools such as Synopsys and Cadence, particularly for IC design, simulation, and verification.
● Background in analog and/or digital VLSI design, layout, or fabrication processes.
● Experience with advanced CMOS technologies, RFIC, system-on-chip (SoC) design, or mixed-signal circuits.
● Prior involvement in funded research projects, industry collaboration, or technology development.
Preference will be given to candidates who:
● Possess professional certifications and/or relevant industry experience.
● Have affiliations or collaborations with internationally recognized universities, research centers, or industry partners.
● Demonstrate the ability to secure external research funding and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, and the ability to contribute effectively to the department’s academic mission and strategic growth.

1. We offer a one-year renewable contract (renewable subject to Dean/Director and student evaluation) and a competitive salary package based on academic qualification, rank, and teaching experience as stated above;

7. End-of-service yearly gratuity, which starts on the 2nd year of continuous service (if the candidate has completed a minimum of 2 years).
