Surveying Laboratory
Introduction
The Surveying Laboratory at the Department of Engineering Management, College of Engineering, provides students with essential hands-on training in land surveying and spatial data collection. Equipped with modern instruments such as total stations, digital levels, GPS/GNSS receivers, and supporting software, the lab enables students to apply classroom knowledge to practical tasks including leveling, traversing, contouring, topographic mapping, and construction layout. By linking technical surveying skills with engineering management practices, the lab prepares graduates to effectively plan and oversee infrastructure projects. It also supports applied research and field exercises aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering innovation and sustainability in construction and smart city development.
