يهدف هذا المقرر الى تعريف الطالب/ة بمفهوم الإلقاء باعتباره وسيلةً للتواصل الفعّال مع المستمعين أو المتلقِّين، وبوصفه وسيلةً لتحريك مشاعرهم، والتأثير فيهم. والتعرّف كذلك على المتميزين في فنّ الإلقاء والبارعين فيه في الماضي والحاضر. والتأكيد على المعايير الفنية التي يرتكزُ عليها هذا الفن واستراتيجياته، إضافة إلى توضيح الصفات التي يجب توافُرها فيمن يسعى إلى إجادة فنِّ الإلقاء: كالاستعداد الفطريّ، والإحساس الفني، والحساسية نحو المستمعين، وسلامة النطق، والفصاحة، وامتلاك المهارات القرائية، وسعة الثقافة، ومراعاة التنوع الثقافي، وجهارة الصوت وتلوينه وتنغيمه، والثقة بالنفس. ويُسهم هذا المقرر في تنمية مهارات الإلقاء الوظيفي لدى الطلاب في الحياة اليومية والدراسية، مثل: إلقاء خطبة أو قصيدة شعرية في المناسبات، تقديم محاضرة، تقديم عرض تقديمي، إدارة ندوة ثقافية، الحديث عبر الإذاعة أو التلفاز أو عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي حول موضوع ما.

يهدف هذا المقررالى تعريف الطالب\ة بمفهوم تحرير الخبر بوصفه مهارة كتابية إبداعية تقوم على التدقيق والمعاينة من أجل إيصال معلومات وحقائق وأحداث حول موضوع معين بطريقة مُتقنة ومشوقة تثير اهتمام القارئ أو المستمع وتجعله متلهفا للاطلاع عليه. والتأكيد على مراحل تطور الخبر، والتعريف بأشكاله ومكوناته وخصائصه واستعراض عناصر التشويق في صياغته، وإبراز القيم الأخلاقية الواجب توافرها في الخبر. وتعريف الطالب\ة كذلك بمفهوم التقرير الصحفي باعتباره فنّا صحفيّا يقدم الوقائع الجوهرية والتفصيلية بموضوعية عن حدث معين، ويقدم شرحا ووصفا وتحليلا للحدث مع ذكر أسبابه ودوافعه وشخصياته. والتأكيد على خصائص التقرير الصحفي وأنواعه، وقوالبه، وقواعده، ومراحل إعداده، ومكوناته. إضافة إلى التعريف بالفروق بين الخبر والتقرير الصحفي ومجالات استخدام كل منهما. يسهم هذا المقرر في تنمية المهارات الكتابية واللغوية للطالب\ة من أجل تحرير الأخبار والتقارير الصحفية بحسب المعايير والقواعد العلمية مما يؤهلها لتكون صالحة للنشر.

Media & Popular Culture examines how media shapes and reflects cultural narratives, social values, and identities. Students will analyze television, film, music, digital platforms, and advertising to understand media’s role in creating, reinforcing, and challenging cultural norms. The course covers key concepts like representation, audience analysis, media consumption, and cultural production, along with topics such as fandom, celebrity culture, and commercialization. Through critical analysis, students will explore media’s impact on both local and global cultural landscapes.

Media and Public Diplomacy explores how media shapes international relations and supports foreign policy through public diplomacy. Students will examine traditional and digital media as tools for communication between governments and global audiences. Key topics include soft power, nation branding, cultural diplomacy, and media’s role in influencing public opinion and diplomatic relations. Through case studies, students will analyze how states and organizations use media to promote interests and cultural narratives while addressing ethical challenges like misinformation, media manipulation, and political agendas.
