CEE PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Graduates of the Civil and Environmental Engineering program at PSU are expected to achieve the following Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) within a few years after graduation.

• PEO 1: Graduates will deliver innovative solutions for civil and environmental systems and services; apply scientific and digital engineering practices; and assume increasing levels of professional and leadership responsibility in engineering organizations, government, academia, or entrepreneurial ventures while communicating their ideas effectively with diverse audiences.
• PEO 2: Graduates will demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development by advancing on recognized licensure pathways, earning relevant certifications, pursuing graduate studies, engaging in technical training, research activities, and professional societies, and disseminating knowledge for the advancement of technological and societal progress.
• PEO 3: Graduates will demonstrate integrity, accountability, and respect for cultural, environmental, and ethical values in their professional conduct. They will make informed engineering decisions that enhance public safety, promote sustainability, and support community and national development while engaging in global initiatives that advance human welfare.
