This workshop evaluates the potential of using
plant-based fibers in construction materials. Thus,
date palm fibers are evaluated in terms of their
chemical and mechanical properties, as well as their
eco-friendliness and cost-effectiveness. In addition,
the limitations of using date palm fibers in
cement-based composites are also highlighted.
