The Opening Address 2021 and Awards Ceremony for 2020-2021 was successfully conducted last September 21, 2021, at PSU Atrium, Ground Floor, Administration Building 104, Men’s Campus from 12:15 to 1:20 PM. PSU is committed to its health and safety protocols. Thus, the event was hybrid; all faculty members and staff attended the event online via the YouTube live streaming while selected in-person attendees and the awardees were in the designated venue.
The event started with the video presentation about PSU’s accomplishments for Academic Year 2020-2021 and was followed by the Opening Speech of Dr. Ahmed Yamani, President. The speech highlighted the Accomplishments of the Strategic Plan with the theme EMPOWER and concluded with the Institutional Priorities for the Academic year 2021-2022.
After the speech of Dr. Yamani, Dr. Mitchell, Director of Teaching and Learning Center, recognized the completers of the PSU Higher Education Teaching and Learning Certificate for two academic years, such as 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. She was then followed by Dr. Anis, Director of Research and Initiatives Center, who recognized the recipient of the publication incentives for 2020.
Finally, Mr. Maruf, Director of the Strategic Planning and Development Center, was the Master Ceremony of the event. He announced the Administrative Excellence Award, LMS (MOODLE) Excellence Award, Research Excellence Award and the President’s Distinguished Teaching Excellence Award winners.
