COOP Day 2026 Bridges CAD Students and Professional Practice


The College of Architecture and Design (CAD) successfully hosted its COOP Day event on January 8th, 2026. Coordinated by the Architecture and Interior Design Departments, this annual event acts as a vital link between COOP organizations and students preparing to enter the professional world, attracting participation from leading design firms.

In alignment with its goals, the event offered a valuable opportunity for senior architecture and interior design students, alumni, and industry experts to engage and exchange ideas. Distinguished firms, including IDA Architecture, Saudi Constructioneers, Esri Saudi Arabia, Khatib & Alami, Pinnacle, Kristina Zanic Design Consultants, Omrania by Egis, Four Architects Engineering Consulting Company, TM +B Planners & Architects, Black Arabia, Capital Metro Company, UMQ Design Company, A&B Consulting Architects & Engineers, Ubelcc Company, SaudConsult Company Engineering, IDOM Consulting Engineering, Sama Holding, and JLL Company, were among those who connected with students and potential interns, helping to build professional relationships with long-term impact.




Participants were able to interact directly with industry professionals, gaining first hand insight into architectural and design practices at both local and international levels. The event also encouraged productive conversations surrounding internships and future collaborations. Alumni further enhanced the experience by sharing their professional paths, emphasizing the impact of their academic training and strengthening ties between graduates and the university community.
