In accordance with PSU Strategic Plan Theme 4: Outreach, Marketing, and Partnerships and in alignment with Goal: GOAL 1: Develop and improve PSU community service and continuing education programs and initiatives. Objectives 4.1.1: to increase faculty and student involvement in community service events and programs. Action plan #4: Support and host events and activities in collaboration with community-based organizations.
The IS department had organized a series of workshops under Community Service titled: “Tech Bootcamp - Bunyan Charity”. Participants are involved in hands-on training/ workshop to understand the basic tools and technologies. At the end of the workshop, the participants are able to learn basic tools and technologies for business development, develop the website, google form, flyers, secure themselves from basic attacks while surfing on social media, create a database using excel and Microsoft Access.
