Prince Sultan University is conscious of the need to focus its efforts on water conservation in a region with a scarce supply of water. To this end, PSU signed an agreement with the National Water Company (NWC) to minimize water usage on campus. The agreement promotes conscious water usage on campus with regards to no water wastage and landscaping.
In addition, PSU ensures that proactive maintenance takes place on all its water facilities to avoid the leaks and other forms of water loss.
Ample provision of free drinking water is made on campus for students, staff, faculty and outsourced staff through available water fountains and drinking water stations. These are equipped with reusable water bottles to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles across campus.
PSU has collaborated with a commercial water firm, Aquafina, to draw attention to conservation of water and promote recycling on campus via the Aquafina plastic water bottle recycling stations.
