PSU Students Participate in Two Collaborative Teams at the Madinah Humanization Hackathon (H‑Camp V2)

Prince Sultan University, represented by the Department of Architecture , proudly highlights the participation and achievements of its students in the Madinah Humanization Hackathon (H‑Camp V2), hosted by Prince Mugrin University.

This year,Among 48 male and female students from 7 universities and 30 mentors, two teams that included students from Prince Sultan University achieved remarkable success, securing advanced positions in the competition. Students from the College of Architecture and Design took part through three interdisciplinary teams, with each team composed of PSU students collaborating alongside participants from various Saudi universities. This collaborative spirit reflects the college’s commitment to fostering creativity, teamwork, and human‑centered design thinking.

The teams competed under the supervision of Dr. Shaimaa Ashour, faculty member in the Architecture Department and founding member of the Salmani Architecture Lab.

Outstanding Results

Among 48 students, 7 universities, and 30 advisors, the PSU‑led teams achieved remarkable success, securing top positions in the competition:

* Layla Algwaiz and her team — 2nd Prize, awarded 9,000 SAR
* Joud Malabarey and her team — 3rd Prize, awarded 6,000 SAR

This combined participation and achievement reflect the creativity, dedication, and human‑centered design approach championed by PSU. It also underscores the university’s commitment to empowering emerging designers and preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the future of Saudi urbanism.
