Prince Sultan University (PSU) has established comprehensive collaborations with non-governmental organizations to accelerate progress toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating the institution's commitment to multi-stakeholder partnerships and community engagement for sustainable development.

Prince Sultan University (PSU) has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first private university in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to receive provisional accreditation as an observer to the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

In a significant development for sustainable development initiatives in the Gulf region, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has established a formal partnership with Prince Sultan University (PSU) to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through international collaboration on data gathering and measurement.

Prince Sultan University (PSU) has demonstrated significant leadership in national sustainability policy for higher education through its substantial contribution to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Voluntary National Review (VNR) 2023, submitted to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.

Prince Sultan University's Center for Sustainability and Climate (CSC) forms a partnership with Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI), United Nations with the aims of its strong commitment towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

On 20 October 2020, Prince Sultan University’s (PSU) Global SME Policy Network (GSPN) signed an agreement with the L20 and Saudi National Committee of Workers Committees (SNC). The President of the PSU, Dr Ahmed Yamani welcomed the delegates from the L20.

PSU is committed to promoting the UN’s SDG 2030 agenda as part of its own institutional strategic plan in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 framework. The Vision 2030 initiative calls on organisations – both private and public – to empower, nurture and inspire young Saudi citizens to fully realise their potential as part of the country’s ongoing formative action to combat the climate crisis and its impacts.

The Center for Sustainability and Climate (CSC) hosted a workshop along with their strategic partner United Nation Global Compact (UNGC) Saudi Network titled by “Understanding Sustainable Development Goals and its Relation to Saudi Vision 2030” for the PSU students on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

The United Nations Global Compact Network - Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan University (PSU), signed a memorandum of understanding to form a strategic partnership to advance the UN’s 2030 Agenda. The partnership aims to strengthen efforts towards advancing the UN's 2030 Agenda by engaging higher education institutions.

The new UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) has recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia, dedicating themselves to working together to improve global health.

Prince Sultan University SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Club is the first student SDG Club in Saudi Arabia and is part of the PSU Center for Sustainability and Climate (CSC). In the first week of October 2022, more than hundred students have joined in this club.

Developing nations need greater visibility, acknowledgement and support for their research into the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), according to the authors of a major analysis of the past 15 years of worldwide research into SDGs.

The analysis – the most comprehensive of its kind to date – has formed the basis of a new White Paper, which calls for equity for developing nations within the world’s research ecosystem, particularly as those nations are often hardest hit by the issues the UN’s Global Goals are aimed at addressing.

The event aims to bring together prominent actors in the humanitarian field, including regional organizations, NGOs, UN agencies, technical experts, researchers, and academicians.

Prince Sultan University (PSU), in collaboration with CPA Australia, the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA), and the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, successfully hosted a specialized masterclass on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Over 40 students participated in the Prince Sultan University Toastmasters Club meeting about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) on November 7, 2021. First, Dr. Tahira Hoke (Club Founder) announced the word of the day as 'Sustainability,' reviewed the definition, and shared PSU's SDG 2030 website https://www.psu.edu.sa/en/PSU-commitment-to-SDG2030.

College of Law has concluded the last lecture of a boot camp entitled, “Financial Crimes Compliance Boot Camp” with the cooperation of K2Integrity.

Prince Sultan University and US digital solutions company VMware have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch an innovation center equipped with VMware software and resources to give students, researchers, and businesses hands-on experience with transformative digital solutions for app modernization, cloud, networking, security, and digital workspace.

An offshoot of Prince Sultan University’s Industry 4.0 Center, the Prosthetics and Orthotics Center, run in collaboration with Nia Technologies, aims to use the latest technology to serve people with disabilities, says Abdulhakim Almajid, dean of the College of Engineering at PSU.

Prince Sultan University, the first nonprofit private university in the Kingdom, has announced its partnership with Coursera, a global online learning platform, to provide students across its six colleges with new pathways to job-relevant, multidisciplinary learning, and unlimited access to high-quality content.

Prince Sultan University is the First Saudi University to Pledge Net Zero Carbon University by 2060. Race to Zero for Universities and Colleges campaign is run in partnership with EAUC, Second Nature and UN Environment. EAUC are the secretariat. Being part to this campaign Prince Sultan University has been added to the UNFCCC Race to Zero campaign.
