CSCEC is part of Saudi vision 2030 in empowerment as well as entrepreneurship by providing PSU beautiful landscapes for companies, home businesses, food trucks owners as well as any individual from society who can visit PSU events and get inspired to start his/her own as well. PSU creates the most enjoyable environment where all the family members can spend great time together as well.

The Governor of Riyadh sponsors the signing of an agreement between the university and the branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Riyadh in the field of volunteer work

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, sponsored the signing of an agreement between the university represented by the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education and the branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Riyadh in the field of voluntary work. This came during the inauguration ceremony of His Highness the Volunteer Work Incubator in the region, coinciding with the International Volunteer Day.

Inauguration of the first branch of the King Sejong Institute at the university to learn the Korean language

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al Yamani, President of the University, and His Excellency Mr. Park Joon Young, Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to the Kingdom, inaugurated a branch of the King Sejong Institute at the University; To teach the Korean language. The branch was opened inside the university in the presence of the university's senior management and institute officials, in order to activate the memorandum of understanding signed by His Excellency the President of the University in South Korea, in the presence of the Korean Embassy in Riyadh and the representative of the King Sejong Institute Foundation. It is noteworthy that the King Sejong Institute is an official institute for teaching the Korean language that was established around the world with the support of the Korean government, and sponsored by the King Sejong Institute Foundation.

The university is hosting an awareness event under the slogan You Will Laugh

The university hosted an awareness event under the slogan You Will Laugh, organized by the Saudi Heart Association in conjunction with the World Heart Day, and in cooperation with the Community Service Center and the Department of Science and Mathematics at the university. The event aimed to raise public awareness to reduce the risks associated with cardiovascular diseases and to enable community members to make positive changes in their lives, thus contributing to maintaining their health and vitality.

Career Expo

Career Expo is an annual event since the establishment of CSCEC in 2008. As a first main aim for Community Service and Continuing Education Center was empowerment. Therefore, Career Expo since that time was focusing on reaching big huge companies under one roof of PSU campus as well as opened PSU doors for all job seekers to meet the representatives of those companies in one day, at one time, under one roof. Years after another, PSU Career Expo was an awaiting event for all job seekers and a one event day has extended to be two days and two shifts to facilitate the welcoming of the huge number of visitors to PSU Career Expo. Career Expo allows job seekers to find job opportunities that suit their qualifications. It also gives employers from all entities the chance to communicate directly with this segment of society in order to fulfil the contribution to the service of the community in a constructive way for this country. Also, it engages the exchange of experiences between employers from different government and private sectors under one roof, which is "Career Expo".

Moreover, CSCEC was taking into consideration making Career Expo an effective one to all PSU visitors by conducting several workshops by qualifies PSU faculty members as well as inviting international instructors in the fields of “Build your Professional Character and How to Gain Benefits from LinkedIn”, “Know your values and Define your Goals”, “Conflict Resolutions at Workplace”, “How to Write your CV”, “A Successful Job Interview”, “How to build a Positive Professional Image”, The 10 Questions on your Career Life”…etc. On the other hand, there were also several multi effective activities for job seekers such as; CV Screenings and Mock Interviews where a PSU visitor can have an opportunity to check his CV by qualified PSU faculty members interested in this field as well as discovering the experience of having a mock job interview where the faculty member will show a job seeker to his strengths and weakness among the interview practice. This will defiantly facilitate the path to the society individuals to apply for several big companies with more confidence. As one of the great outcomes for Career Expo all over the 10 years, a huge number of visitors have got employed immediately by the representatives of the companies.

This successful story for Career Expo over past years offered an honor to Career Expo recent one to be under the patronage of His Highness Prince Dr Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Prince Sultan University and it was a special one due to the cooperation between the men and women campus for a first time and it was opened to both male and female visitors from public to reach a wide unemployed category from our society which is stated in CSCEC vision and mission. As previous Career Expos, the 9th one had several workshops and more up to date topics in the filed as; How to get a job?, “Six strategies, do them and the companies will knock your door”, “Workplace Communication and Conflict Resolution”, “Oracle Academy Certification Pathways”, “CV and Interviews”, and “On the Graduation Step, for an excellent Career Life.”

Career Expo also highlighted on PSU graduates who became PSU ambassadors in the job market place via presenting their role positions in their nowadays careers.

Career Expo had an outstanding impact and a wide range of media coverage over several local newspapers:

The number of counted visitors was over 12,685 who have visited PSU for previous Career Expos.

The next Career Expo was held in April 9th, 10th, and 11th 2018 by Prince Sultan University for the 10th year in a row and was marked for being open for three days also for both genders from the public, the participation of big sponsors and companies as well as encouraging the young entrepreneurs to have their spots there.

In an addition to all that, "Tamheed" program was a great effective main addition to Career Expo 10th where the visitors will have an opportunity of taking a personality international certified test and the result of 7 pages will be discussed in an individual discussion by qualified PSU faculty members. This will lead the job seeker to find the most suitable types of jobs in relation to his/her personality.

PSU Street Fair

CSCEC organized its first fair named “PSU Street Fair”. Main objective was to cater to the need of the Saudi community and adopt the “Fair” trend as well as to showcase the flourishing efforts of the Saudi community and open doors for young Saudi talent. Moreover, the aim of this event is to align its objectives with the initiatives of the 2030 Saudi vision. PSU Street Fair is an event that celebrated the character of our University. As its name suggests, it was held on the streets of Prince Sultan University- Men’s Campus. The event was open for families and individuals of all ages.

The fair offered an eclectic mix of activities and events at each end where all family members in different ages can enjoy and have a good time together by spending their weekend at PSU. The fair featured great games for both adults and children, male and female. CSCEC took into consideration gathering several types of attractive activities where each one of a family member can enjoy. The location was divided into five different zones so that people have enough space to move freely.

The zones were divided into a kid’s area, food trucks, bazaar, food stations and adult games. Kids area was a safe secure one far from main gate and surrounded by security and PSU friendly kids’ volunteers, a clown, kids’ movies and several types of attractive activities such as cookies’ decorating. A number of 18 local food trucks, 16 stations, 26 Bazar booths, and an additional 17 free booths for Bunyan Charity beneficiaries took an opportunity to join the fair for free and be known in the community. This helped them market their small business as well as creating a shopping zone for the visitors interested in shopping. In addition, adults enjoyed their time in playing several kinds of the trendiest attractive games as; Games 2U, Breakout KSA, Charge, Giant Games, and Carnival Games. Furthermore, PSU Street Fair celebrated local talent and artistry also who painted a colorful paint on a PSU wall at PSU Street Fair.

PSU Street Fair welcomed 2180 visitors where all the games were free of charge.

This made it a suitable place for many families and friends as well to relieve, share, and enjoy their time together in the weekend and at that time 2017 there were few places in Riyadh which provide fun for both genders. PSU Street Fair expressed a meaning of entertainment as a family in a relaxed, secure, easy to reach, fun, and attractive atmosphere for many families in society. By achieving this aim, CSCEC played an important role in recharging the energy of society individuals’ and motivating them to be more productive once starting their new week.

Prince Sultan University’s role as an institution places priority for their faculty and students, thus providing them with not only educational value but also a recreational element of entertainment. Based on an encouragement of Vice-Rector Dr. Rimah to host an Open Day on the female campus, CSCEC and PRC collaborated together to implement this unique event.

Open day, as its name suggests, is an event that celebrated the character of our University and allow PSU members to have fun and contact each other during their off day Friday, December 15th 2017 at PSU in present with their families. The main objective was to provide a fun outing for PSU’s female staff and students on campus. It was held on the new outdoor area at men’s Campus. The event was exclusive for PSU female members and offered an eclectic mix of activities and food trucks at each end.

The event featured great games for both adults and children. HPE organized several ones as; Obstacle Relay, Tug-O-War, Basket Toss, Musical Chairs, Water Balloon Tag, Hoop Relay, Balancing Spoon as well as other games were provided by an external Games’ provider such as; Bumper Ball, Bungee and Joust Combo, Giant Hamster Ball with Racing Track to make the day more enjoyable and fun for everyone. PSU welcomed children of its female memebrs. Therefore, the outdoor stage and the circle area have been considered to be especially arranged well for kids. A clown was there for the whole time playing various games, activities, and drawings. Kids’ movies were displaying as well where children had fun and making friends with other PSU memebrs’ kids out of this event. This informal communication between PSU staff reflects positively on the workplace environment and enriched the friendly relationships between PSU colleagues to be one family. By achieving this goal CSCEC made an influence to PSU community as well.

Productive Family Exhibition

Under the patronage of HRH Princess Noura Bent Mohamed Al Saud: Productive Families Exhibition is an expo- oriented exhibition hosted by Prince Sultan University-Women Campus in collaboration with Riyadh Chamber Commerce for. This promising event opens up doors of opportunities for small businesses of the community to find great business opportunities. CSCEC in cooperation with Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry gave considerable attention to women who are working at home to help them to sustain and market their micro-projects. This initiation was as key sources of generating income and turn them into productive energy in the community.

PSU female campus was a great opportunity and platform to market their products among PSU faculty and students by launching Productive Families Exhibitions four times as below:

  • 3-4 October 2016
  • 1-November 2017
  • 18-19 April 2018
  • 14 January 2019

The number of visitors once the first exhibition launched was 506.

Moreover, CSCEC aimed to enrich their knowledge by providing free workshops in a field of business presented by PSU faculty members over the past several times of the exhibition. A specific two days on 3rd and 4th of December, 2018 were dedicated for workshops specifically to focus on expanding their educational business knowledge.

PSU as the leading private university represented by the Finance Department outreach committee and CSCEC collaborated with Riyadh chamber supported a total of 147 home business owners.

Law Exhibition

An initiation from College of Law to enrich the knowledge of Law among our society especially for females, CSCEC collaborated and organized Law Exhibition Event. It was the first community exhibition for the College of Law and implemented on November 17, 2019. A majority of female faculty members in the College of Law participated in the main building Women Campus.

The importance of the exhibition was focused on covering areas of contemporary law through audio-visual presentations to other students in different majors as well as PSU public visitors in a creative simplified way. The exhibition as well highlighted students of Law understandings and outputs From Law College learning curriculum. It was also an effective way in building the students’ personalities and acquiring multiple skills for communication and enhancing the team spirit among students as well as a competition which definitely will be required for them as future lawyers.

The exhibition highlighted several important legal topics and provide a free academic discussion and consultations as a desire from the College of Law to guide others in a term of Law knowledge. Important general subjects have been discussed over the exhibition as well as specific topics.

The general subjects were focused on rules and regulations related to the added tax on goods or services and the importance of them on the economy as well as Saudi Law among insurance system while the specific legal topics were discussed via eight several academic corners supervised by a faculty member per each and organized by PSU Law students. This aimed to enrich the Law knowledge among our society female citizens. On the other hand, the legal specific topics which were discussed among the eight corners in the Law Exhibition were; provisions of obligations, family law, criminal law, administrative law Section, inheritance section, human rights, commercial law, Tax and Zakat law. By implementing this exhibition CSCEC achieved an aim of serving PSU community as well as society.
